WHY I STARTED THE SHOE SQUAD COMMUNITY
When I transitioned from sports to the shoe industry, I wished I had a supportive community. That’s why I created Shoe Squad—to ensure you won’t find yourself saying, “I wish I had known this earlier” after launching your brand.
I founded the SHOE SQUAD COMMUNITY with the vision of bringing together shoe entrepreneurs who could support each other and grow together. My goal is to share the knowledge and experience that helped me launch my own brand and empower over 100 footwear brands to create and produce their first collections.
But it wasn’t always like this. Before building my career in the footwear industry, I was a solopreneur trying to figure everything out on my own. It was overwhelming, lonely, and full of challenges that could have been easier with the right support.
This journey taught me invaluable lessons.
With over a decade of entrepreneurial experience, including opening my first shoe shop in 2010 and launching my own brand, Namorarte, in 2013, I gained insights into the complexities of the industry. A year later, I started helping brands worldwide bring their shoe designs to life through my sourcing agency, Portugal Production.
These experiences made me realize how crucial it is to simplify the sourcing process for brands, designers, and founders. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to do just that.
Now, through Shoe Squad, I want to help YOU turn your dream into reality. Together, we’ll build a supportive community where no one has to navigate this journey alone.
